Role Overview:
The International Expert will provide senior-level advisory and oversight on applying global best practices in urban design codes, architectural guidelines, and regulatory frameworks. The role ensures the studio’s outputs are benchmarked to international standards while preserving Saudi cultural authenticity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on the adaptation and implementation of international urban design and architectural code standards.
- Review and validate identity guidelines and detailed codes prepared by the local design team.
- Provide strategic input to enhance compliance processes and technical methodologies.
- Lead capacity building sessions and knowledge transfer workshops for local professionals.
- Support reporting on project quality and international compliance alignment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in urban design and architectural code consultancy at an international level.
- Demonstrated track record of developing or advising on city-wide design guidelines and planning codes.
- Proven experience working with governmental and regulatory bodies.
- Strong understanding of cultural heritage integration in contemporary urban design.
- Exceptional communication and advisory skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
